Menomonee River flooded

This is the Menomonee River in Wauwatosa, at 7:30am the day after the insane Brew City Flood, as it’s come to be known on Twitter. At the time of this video it was reported to be at 12.8 feet deep. “Flood” level is considered to be 11 feet. Normally the water is a good 8-10 feet below the bottom of the bridge. This morning it was less than two feet below.

This is normally a park trail along the river. Normally you can’t even see the river at this point, or really even know that it’s back there at all. This morning it was up to the sidewalk. That’s about 200 feet (rough guess) past where you’d ever expect water to be.
